The Cuban capital, which boasts 484 years of history, is consolidating its position as the major tourist destination in the largest Antillean Island, providing offers that can meet the needs of the most demanding vacationers.
The attractions of the centuries-old city range from excellent beaches to a unique cultural wealth, although City of Havana is the smallest of the country's 14 provinces, covering an area of 727 square kilometers.
However, that small area holds two million people and over 10,000 rooms for international tourism, supported by a broad infrastructure of city offers in which the Vedado Hotel stands out.
The establishment, located in the heart of El Vedado neighborhood, has 203 air-conditioned rooms equipped with all the amenities demanded by modern tourism, including a safety box, minibar and international telephone communications.
The hotel complements its services with a gymnasium (including sauna and massage), commercial center, currency exchange, bar, swimming pool, medical services, private parking lot and conference hall, along with a cafeteria and two restaurants serving a wide range of dishes from Cuban and international cuisine.
The establishment also has the El Cortijo nightclub, an ideal place to spend a lovely evening after a busy day in the city, in a private ambiance and enjoying excellent Cuban music.
The three-star Vedado Hotel belongs to the chain Horizontes, which has nine hotels totaling 1,600 rooms in the Cuban capital.
The hotel, which is at a 20-minute drive from José Martí International Airport, benefits from its closeness to major cultural and historic centers.
In that regard, experts recall that the Vedado Hotel is close to 30 museums, 10 art galleries, and 25 theaters and cultural institutions in Havana.
For those who like to walk along Havana's streets, the hotel is at a walking distance from Malecón (seawall), an ideal place to spend your leisure time during hot nights, enjoying the sea breeze and in contact with local people.
The Vedado Hotel is located in one of the busiest areas in the city, where the street known as La Rampa, with nightclubs, movie theaters and exhibition halls, stands out.
Restaurants, the world-renowned ice cream parlor Coppelia and outdoors handicraft fairs can be found anywhere near the Vedado Hotel, thus complementing an original tourist offer that travelers cannot refuse, due to its diversity.
