The largest Antillean Island, strategically located in the Caribbean, successfully ventures in the tourism industry and ranks among the top destinations for leisure in the region thanks to the diversity of its attractions.

Sun and beach, nature, history, culture and heritage values combine to offer visitors a unique opportunity to get to know the country.

In the west, Varadero with its warm waters and white sands guarantees the condition of main destination of sun and beach on the island, with about 50 hotel facilities and over 14,000 rooms.

Marinas, diving centers and water sports, cays, lagoons and natural parks contribute to the interest of vacationers in the spa.

Meanwhile, the Cuban capital, emblematic urban center of the country founded in 1519, stands as the main place for tourism, supported by centuries of history and cultural richness that brings its historic center with a mix of architectural styles.

The so-called Old Havana is the best example of colonial architecture on the island and throughout the Caribbean, in its space it hosts many of the most beautiful and important squares, buildings, historical monuments and fortresses.

In addition, the tourism infrastructure includes a network of accommodations, hundreds of houses and restaurants in the private sector.

As a complement, some 30 museums, 10 art galleries and about 20 theaters are added, which confirms the enormous influence of the national culture.

To the east, Santiago de Cuba emerges as the second largest city, with an important historical and cultural heritage that includes museums and fortresses of the colonial era plus plazas and buildings, ruins of French coffee plantations and semi-submerged remains of the fleet of Admiral Cervera.

As for the islands that make up the Cuban archipelago, the system provides the Jardines del Rey, located on Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, with a dozen hotels of four and five star category.

From the historical point of view, highlights Trinidad, in the central province of Sancti Spiritus, one of the first villages founded in Cuba (1514) and also known as the City Museum of Caribbean.

In its surroundings, there are the Valley of the Sugar Mills, Cultural Heritage, El Ancon Beach and Sierra del Escambray, a true ecological paradise.

Meanwhile, the Gallic heritage comes from the hand of Cienfuegos, in central-south of the island, since it was founded by French from Louisiana in 1819.

Parks, theaters, churches and cemeteries full of sculptural monuments of great value combined with architectural treasures like the Palacio del Valle and Terry Theater, all joined by the iconic Jagua Castle.
