              The Hotel Rijo is located in Sancti Spiritus, in an edifice that was built from 1818 to 1827. It features a typical colonial-style architecture characterized by French carpentry with stained-glass windows and iron-wrought railings. The establishment was built on the ruins of an old big house that belonged to Rudesindo García Rijo, a prominent doctor in the city, after whom the establishment was named. The inn's cozy and exclusive atmosphere benefits from its geographic location in the heart of the city, where visitors can visit attractive constructions from past centuries, like the Bridge over the Yayabo River and the Parroquial Mayor Church, which have been declared National Monuments.
