Charges to be paid at the moment of leasing the car. All rates are quoted in USD.

• Insurance: $ 40.00 USD per day.
  People between 21 and 24 years old and between 76 and 80 years old, must pay an additional fee of $ 18.00 USD per day of rent.
• Airport fee: $ 20.00 USD (Fee for rentals starting at airport offices)
• Warranty Deposit: $ 250.00 USD (Refundable when you deliver the car)
• Co-driver: $ 3.00 USD per day
• Fuel: It is paid at the beginning of the rental agreement contract for the amount delivered in the tank. Return the car without fuel.
• Drop-off: The drop-off charge will be paid when returning somewhere else to the pick-up location is done at the end of the rental agreement. More Info

Important: All additional Payments at the Rental Office must be made by Card. Cash is not accepted.

• To recharge fuel you need do the following:
  
  
  • Buy a CLASSIC CARD at CADECA at the airport. (cost of 4.00 USD), which will have an initial balance of $0.00 USD.
  • You must add a balance with CASH, at CADECA (exchange office)
  • You can buy fuel with that card at any Cupet enabled for touristic's services.



• Documents for renting the car
  Clients must afford the confirmation number at the rental office. Renter as well as co-drivers must show passport and driver’s license for renting the vehicle. Driver’s License minimum 1 year issued except for I category (sport) that should be 3 years minimum. For rentals with chauffeur is not required to present the driver’s license.



• The user pays by card at MLC, directly at the LESSOR's sales office, upon presentation of the voucher, according to the confirmed rental conditions, the additional payments not included in the corresponding service modality: fuel, guarantee deposit, relief liability when not included in the rate, additional driver, international airport surcharge, drop off; baby chair or others.



• Drivers Minimum Age
  For rentals without chauffeur, renter and co-drivers should be older than:
  
  
  • Minimum and maximum age established to rent a car, without any extra commission, from 25 to 75 years. For people between 21 and 24 years old and between 76 and 80 years old, they will pay an additional fee consisting of 50% of the value of the liability waiver. Maximum age established to rent a car of 80 years.
  • For Sport category: 25 years old.


• Guarantee Deposit
  REX will request for rentals without chauffeur a guarantee deposit of:
  
  
  • For B, C & c categories: 200.00 USD
  • For D, E, G, F, f, g & H categories: 250.00 USD.
  
  In rental with chauffeur guarantee deposit is not required.

• Generals
  REX has the following terms and conditions which are accepted by the client upon signature of the rental agreement.
  
  
  • The rental period is calculated in days and hours and will not exceed 60 days. Hereafter, the contract has to be renewed.
  • If rental time exceed one month the client will be held responsible for informing REX if the car has its programmed maintenance and will agree the time and rental office for the vehicle exchange.
  • Vehicle should be returned at the agreed time and place. REX is entitle to demand full compensation for any loss or expense, caused by failure to do so.
  • REX has taken every precaution to avoid faults in the vehicle. REX can not be held responsible for any unforeseen situation, not for any consequence resulting from them.
  • REX can not be held responsible for objects and/or personal items forgotten by the client or other passengers in the vehicle nor for them being stolen due to client or passengers negligence.
  • The client shall not make any changes in the structure, form or decoration of the interior or exterior of the vehicle. Maintenance and repair of the vehicle must only be done by REX.
  • Payment for additional driver 3 usd daily and 2 drivers are allowed.


• Fuel
  The car is delivered with a full tank of fuel and the total value of the tank will be charged at the beginning of the rental at the price established by the Ministry of Finance and Prices for both the liter of special gasoline and diesel. To guarantee a correct servicing of the car, the client must return the car with an empty tank. The customer is responsible for the use of the correct type and quality of fuel for the vehicle. (special gasoline only). To return the car with fuel, THE EXECUTOR does not proceed to refund money for this concept.



• Co-drivers
  There is the possibility of two additional drivers (different from the one signing the Contract) with a driver's license driving with at least one year of experience. In this case, an extra charge applies with a rate of 3.00 USD for each driver for each day.
  
  Co-drivers are only authorized for driving the vehicle. They can not:
  
  
  • Rent or return the car.
  • Receive cash refunds.
  • Request for car extensions.
  
  If is detected the vehicle is driven by a non authorized person (a person not included in the rental agreement) REX will proceed to close the rental agreement and the client will lose the amount of money corresponding to the rental days still not used and the guarantee deposit.



• Airport fee
  REX will charge a 20.00 USD fee for rentals starting at airport offices.



• New car amount
  REX will charge a surcharge of 10.00 USD for a single time, at the opening of the first rental that is made to all new vehicles in the fleet.



• Driver’s License
  Renter as well as co-drivers must show a driver’s license with minimum 1 year issued except for I category (sport) that should be 3 years minimum. If driver’s license is not in Spanish or English language, then an international driver’s license will be required.



• Traffic fines
  Traffic and parking fines are client’s responsibility. REX will charge them in the rental agreement as established in rental terms and by the Cuban law.



• Insurance
  REX does not sell insurance to its clients. For an additional daily charge, REX offers Super CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) to eliminate risks in case of an accident. It is mandatory for renting the car that the client accept it. Super CDW fees depend on the car category.
  
  Super CDW:
  
  This coverage totally exempts the client if the car is damaged, unless an infringement of the rentals terms occurs. This coverage is not valid for a driver not registered in the rental agreement.
  
  The client will lose the amount of the CDW and will pay for the damages if:
  
  
  • The car is used to transport persons or goods in a lucrative way or with criminal purposes.
  • The driver is under the influence of narcotics, alcohol, medicines, etc.
  • The car is used to transport flammable material or explosives.
  • The car is driven by a person not authorized as driver o co-driver in the rental agreement.
  • The police report establishes a violation of rental terms.
  • There is negligence or incorrect driving of the vehicle.
  • The vehicle is used to participate in any motor sport or in a racing manner.
  • The vehicle is used to tow or move another vehicle or trailer without the acceptance of REX.
  
  In case of an accident or theft, the client should:
  
  
  • Immediately notify the police
  • Inform REX
  • Safeguard the vehicle against further damages
